Mark Twain

Twain is, along with Einstein, one of the two most misattributed people on the internet — his actual writing was so quotable that virtually any dry, cynical one-liner eventually gets credited to him, real or not.“Never wrestle with a pig” and “Be careful about reading health books” are both widely shared under his name without solid documentation. But plenty of his real lines are just as good and actually verified — “When angry, count four; when very angry, swear” genuinely traces back to him.
